Behind the scenes
Mega Power Star Ram Charan's Yevadu is finally releasing today after its release postponed on numerous occasions. The film directed by Vamsi Paidipally stars Amy Jackson, Shruti Hasan in lead with Allu Arjun and Kajal sizzling in cameos. Devi Sri Prasad is the music director. Let us see how the film entertains movie lovers.
Story Line
Veeru Bhai (Rahul Dev) tries to findout the whereabouts of Deepti (Kajal) whom he loves from her father (Chandra Mohan). He findsout that she is in love with Satya (Allu Arjun). Though Satya want to save Deepti from Veeru Bhai's torture, Deepti doesn't want any quarrel and they choose to leave Vizag to Hyderabad. However Veeru Bhai attacks and kills Kajal and injures Satya. He later set the bus to fire. However by God's grace Satya survives and with 70% injuries was shifted to Apollo Hospitals, Hyderabad. Dr.Sailaja(Jayasudha) treats him and transplants his face (Ram Charan) as it was severely damaged. Even before she could reveal the truth, Satya (Ram Charan) leaves to Visakhapatnam seeking revenge. Satya exacts revenge but even when someone attacks he finds that it was not Veeru Bai men but some unknown people. To findout truth he calls Dr.Sailaja and comes to know some startling facts. To findout the startling facts one should watch Yevadu in theaters.
Star Shine
Allu Arjun and Kajal Agarwal attracted with their cameos. Allu Arjun looked stylish and performed stunts quite well. Kajal is cute with her innocent looks. Ram Charan cameout with good performance. His expressions especially while seeing his face first time in the mirror as Satya are excellent. He dancing movements in songs Freedom and Dimple songs are good. Amy Jackson is hot and came with good performance bringing in few laughters. Shruti Hasan looked beautiful. Sacrlet Jackson scorched in a hot number. Brahmanandam showed what a talent he is. Just with expressions he made many roll down with laughter. Rahul Dev is ok as Deva Bhai and Sai Kumar dominated as Dharma. Jayaprada,Subbaraju,Kota Srinivasa Rao,Ajay,Murali Sharma did according to the script.
Analysis
Vamsi Paidipally chose a routine mass entertainer but included a small twist inspired from Hollywood flick Face Off. Entire film is fast paced with gripping action. While the first half with suspense element and Brahmanandam,Ram Charan,Amy Jackson comedy passed off quite well, second half became predictable after the interval bang. Interval bang is good.Entire film is marred with violence and Yevadu is a complete bloodbath on silver screen. Filmmakers could have avoided them.
Over all the film is a mass entertainer and Ram Charan's fans will like to some extent. However they will be disappointed as there are not many breathtaking dancing moves in the songs from Cherry. Except for Freedom in which he tried new moves and in Dimple songs, nothing will satisfy fans on dancing moves. Many times his steps looked routine. Charan should also take some care in dialogue delivery and also improve his expressions, which too looked routine.
One gets a feeling that second half could have been scripted in a better way after an interesting first half. Second half dragged a bit compared to first half. Too much of Sai Kumar's shouts spoiled the second half. A bit of comedy and romantic track between Shruti and Ram Charan would have helped the film. Vamsi Paidipally after an interesting first half failed to maintain the tempo coming with new twists.
Technical
Devi Sri Prasad's music and background score is quite good. All the songs are well shot and are treat to watch. Placement of songs are good. Editing could have been better. Action scenes are well shot and choreography is quite good. Production values are of high standard. Cinematography of Shyam K Naidu is good.
